The Arts Council is very proud of the work we have done over the last 30 years including being a pioneer in offering arts classes to the community.

The Hessel School House (HSH) has also grown its program offerings to year round classes and workshops. As their efforts have grown, it now makes sense for the Arts Council to transition its classes into the HSH’s system. They are well positioned to offer year round community activities. We will work closely with HSH personnel to ensure a smooth transition.

For the 2026 year, art classes will be offered directly through the schoolhouse and they will handle scheduling, promotion, and registrations. We believe this transition will make all of our efforts stronger and will result in positive outcomes for all, most importantly for the Les Cheneaux community.
