Stained Glass Sailboat Workshop

Class Description: Learn basic copper foil stained glass technique: cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. Create your very own glass sailboat, choosing from several different patterns and glass colors. Students are welcome to bring a snack or lunch for a break.

Paper Mache Pet-tacular
When: Thursday, July 24, 10am-1pm
Class Description: A fun workshop where you create a fun laminated paper (paper mache) animal. Pre-made wire animal frames will be provided for you to choose from to create your own paper mache sculpture. Participants should bring a rag or towel to wipe hands with and experienced participants should bring a pair of needle-nosed pliers if they wish to bend their own armature. All supplies included.

Painting Wildflowers in Watercolor (Greeting Cards)

Class Description: Do you love all the wildflowers that grow around us here in the Upper Peninsula? Come and learn to paint them! Sarah will lead you through some watercolor techniques and then paint some happy greeting cards! Each student will receive 3 cards with envelopes to paint. This class is great for beginners! Fused Glass Shallow Dish

Class Description: Participants will make a 5in x 10in shallow dish or two 5in x 5in shallow dishes. After class the glass will need to be fired twice. The finished items may be picked up at the Hessel School House on Sunday, August 10th.

Please: no glass from home as it is not compatible with the glass in the studio.
